Process

Answer expensive questions while they are still cheap questions.

The Roomwright process is designed around a simple idea: project clarity should increase before construction pressure does.

Four Roomwright phases: define, design, prepare, build
Four phases

A visible sequence for a complicated project.

Exact responsibilities would vary by a real contractor’s operating model. This fictional workflow demonstrates how to explain that model clearly without hiding the hard parts behind generic “dream / design / build” copy.

Define the project

Document what is not working, who uses the space, must-haves, constraints, project boundaries, and what would make the disruption worthwhile.

Design the decisions

Resolve layout, materials, storage, lighting, and related selections in an order that reduces late-stage conflict.

Prepare for construction

Confirm selections, readiness, schedule assumptions, access expectations, household logistics, and the communication cadence.

Build and hand off

Track visible milestones, surface decisions early, document changes, and close with a clear completion and handoff process.

Demonstration boundary: This page does not represent a real contractor’s guaranteed timeline, permitting process, warranty, or trade responsibilities. A production site would use verified operating details.
